When this corona-thing is over …

Wouldn’t you like to put your home care agency’s name right into the hands of your prospects?

There is a simple way that can be used by anyone.

… You might be confined to your home during the stay-at-home order now, but as soon as we all get the OK to venture outside you had better be ready to hit the ground running.

Don’t be left in the dust.

Do you have a good strategy for your home care sales?

Try this. Start by giving local copies of the Seniors Blue Book to your discharge planner, social worker or nurse on your next sales call. Hand them a half-dozen of these books, which contain gobs of great resources for seniors, and ask them to hand them out to their patients as free gifts.

Each book, in about two hundred pages, provides a list of home care agencies and senior care facilities listed by city. Plus a lot of helpful articles with relevant advice for seniors. On the cover of each booklet put a bright sticker saying, “Courtesy XYZ Home Care. See our ad on page X.” These stickers are easily made on a laser printer, and you can even put your logo on it.

Thus you are helping out the referring person whom you meet, since they have a helpful free gift they can give to their outgoing patients. They will be grateful that you are helping them look good to their patients. And the patients themselves, or their family members, will see your name and page number for your ad plastered right in full view. They can’t miss it.

Ads for the Seniors Blue Book start at $500 per year, which is a good deal for a year’s advertising. Just think – if you make only two sales from this, it will bring in more than $4,000 per month in revenue. It will certainly pay for itself.

The Seniors Blue Book people will give you as many copies as you want for free, since you are doing them a favor by distributing it. There are 28 such books throughout the country published each year.

In the Chicago area, for example, there are two editions – a north and south edition. Four hundred thousand are printed for the Chicago area annually, says CEO Mike Quirk. The book is distributed at senior fairs, stores and medical facilities in the area. For example, the northwest surburban edition is distributed to 170 Walgreens, and the south edition to 130 Walgreens. It’s also distributed to several hospitals in the area. At the Oak Lawn hospital for example, 500 are snapped up every month, he said.
