We were asked by two home care agencies to find caregivers.
We researched the agencies, their unique selling propositions, and began pulling together images.
Below are two of the ads we ran on social media.
Ad results: 15 candidates in 13 days
Choosing Facebook as our platform, we wrote content for five versions of ad copy of about 300 words each, complete with bullet points and emojis. We also included numerous images.
Facebook requires advertisers to follow strict guidelines to follow employment laws. We follow these requirements and even work with the various glitches that Facebook has with its ad platform.
For Angel Caregivers of Harwood Heights, IL, we got nine candidates over a five-day period. For Visiting Angels of NE Wisconsin, we got six candidates in eight days of a campaign.
Qualifying the candidates
As any hiring manager of service sector employees knows, candidates often do not show serious intent in seeking a job. To save our clients time, we designed a system of calling the candidates after they answer the ads. We were thus able to find if their phone numbers were valid, and ask a few questions about their work experience. Then we pass along the names of qualified candidates to our clients.
Our system also places candidates’ names and contact information on an online spreadsheet that is shared with our client. The candidates are also sent a welcome email immediately after responding to the ad.
What makes this system unique is that:
- Caregivers in an agency’s service area can be quickly found.
- Candidates are qualified with our phone followup system.
While our caregiver recruitment system has been working in Illinois and Wisconsin, we could easily run these ads for home care companies anywhere in the country.
